Monel 400 Alloy is a nickel-copper based single phased alloy containing Nickel  66.5% and Copper 31.5% in its chemical composition. It possessing high strength and toughness, exhibits excellent resistance to corrosion environments, to non oxidizing acids and to chloride stress corrosion cracking and pitting. It is widely used in marine and chemical industries.
Monel 400 is applicable and useful at temperatures up to 1000 F in oxidizing environments. It can be used in high temperatures if used in a reducing environment. Monel 400 exhibits exceptional resistance towards hydrofluoric acid in all concentration up to boiling point.
